My child has never played soccer, is this a good fit?
Totally! We make the environment fun and inclusive. We have coaches who nurture development and fun into what we do. Our goal is for your child to enjoy being outside running around with other children, learning and being active!
My child has played in other leagues, is this a good fit?
Totally! We will develop each child and meet them at their current level. If your child excels at sports we will push them to be better at what they already have achieved. Our experienced coaches have the capacity to train children at all levels.
What division do I sign my child up for?
At HKS we realize the importance of playing with friends. Therefore, divisions will be broken up by grade level and not calendar year.
How long are the seasons?
The season will be a total of eight weeks. The first two weeks will only consist of practices and then the following six weeks will consist of one day of practice and a game held on the weekend.
What do practices consist of?
Practices will be held once a week. We will warm up and do individual skills (dribbling) together as a whole group. We will then break off into smaller groups (4-7 kids) to work on various drills. At the end of practice, the children will play small sided games.
What do games consist of?
Games will be held once a week. The group will be broken up into teams on game day and the children will warm up with their team. Teams will play two halves (length not determined yet). HKS will provide a snack and drink to each child after the game. Children and families are welcome to stick around and hang out after the games. We will have activities and other fun games for families to play.
Do you keep score/standings?
NO, at this age we focus on having fun and development of skills. We do not keep score or standings.
What uniform does my child wear?
Choose your favorite color or MLS team. Jerseys are reversible so we will have teams designated by using the black jerseys vs the colors.

At HKS we…
• are a commUNITY sport where kids get to play with classmates and others who live in the same area.
• have dedicated and experienced coaching staff for each division.
• are a season commitment, not a whole year. This allows flexibility for your child/family if they want to try other sports or activities
• Provide post game snacks to all participants. Parents you will not need to sign up and buy snacks
• Play on inflatable fields (every game for youngers, rotating weeks for olders). This provides a more fun and engaging experience for all.
• Use smaller game size ratios to allow for more touches of the ball (3v3 or 4v4)
